Colorado with Chris - Steamboat

Our third day in Colorado was spent driving from Avon to Breckenridge then onto Steamboat. We spent most of the day shopping in Breckenridge. One noteworthy stop was our first brewery of the trip, Breckenridge Brewing. That place definitely gets our vote for best Brewery/Restaurant establishment. I didn't take many pictures in town but did manage to get this one during our drive by Lake Dillon. We had to do a U-turn in Silverthorne. At least this time we didn't have a flat tire like Miranda and I did in 2011. I had many thoughts of our last trip to this area and getting to see COS one last time.

The drive to Steamboat from Breckenridge was scrub shrubby showing the diversity of landscapes in this beautiful state. Chris got pictures along the ride while I was driving. The rest of the pictures are from the our next day near Steamboat.

Taking a short hike to Fish Creek Falls....

Fish Creek Falls....these shots would have been spoiled had we got there 3 minutes later. The sun was coming up just above the waterfall....

I am fascinated with these National Forest signs.... The next few photos are from our time wandering aimlessly (much to my dismay) around the Routt National Forest.
